Product overview

A fluid-loss additive supplied to the grade the mud system is designed around.

Drilling starch is used in water-based drilling fluid systems to control filtration. NPE supplies it as a free-flowing powder in the grade agreed with the customer.

Performance in a mud system depends on the whole formulation, so NPE does not publish fixed performance values. The requirement is confirmed at enquiry stage and applied as the release basis for the material supplied.

Packing is moisture-protected and selected for the transit route, with documentation prepared for the destination market.

Key benefits

What drilling starch change in your system

Each point below is a reason the material is specified. Values are not published; grades and technical specifications are available on request.

Filtration control

Used to control fluid loss in water-based drilling fluid systems.

Formulation compatible

Supplied in the grade agreed for the customer's mud system rather than as a generic product.

Consistent supply

Released against the agreed specification so field behaviour stays predictable.

Free-flowing powder

Handled and mixed as a dry powder in standard mud-mixing practice.

Protected packing

Moisture-protected packing for long ocean transit and field storage.

Export supply

Supplied to oil-field customers internationally with destination-market documentation.
