Silica Flour material sample, macro detail

Oil Field Materials

Primary market — Oil Field Materials

Silica flour milled to the fineness your system needs

Milled and classified quartz supplied to oil-field customers for cementing systems, and to industrial customers as an inert functional filler. Fineness grades are set to the customer's requirement.

Product overview

An inert mineral whose value lies entirely in how consistently it is milled and classified.

Silica flour is used in oil-well cementing systems, where a fine crystalline silica phase is added to cement designs intended for elevated-temperature wells. It is also specified across coatings, adhesive, foundry and ceramic systems as an inert filler and extender.

NPE mills and classifies to the fineness band agreed with the customer. Because the material is inert, the working variable is consistency: a shifting fineness distribution changes rheology, loading and finish even when chemistry does not move.

Grades and technical specifications are available on request, and each consignment is released against the agreed specification.

Key benefits

What silica flour change in your system

Each point below is a reason the material is specified. Values are not published; grades and technical specifications are available on request.

Controlled fineness

Milled and classified to the band the customer's process is designed around.

Chemically inert

A stable crystalline silica that does not interfere with the surrounding system.

High-temperature cementing

Used in cement designs intended for elevated-temperature well conditions.

Filler and extender

Adds solids volume in coatings, adhesives and compounds without introducing reactivity.

Batch consistency

Continuous supply against one agreed grade keeps formulation behaviour stable.

In-house processing

Drying, milling and classification carried out at NPE's own manufacturing sites.
