Density where the system needs it, supplied to an agreed grade rather than a general description.
Hematite is used in oil-field drilling and cementing systems where the working density of the fluid or slurry has to be increased. NPE supplies it as a processed mineral, milled and screened to the requirement discussed with the customer.
Because weighting materials sit in the middle of a formulation that is already balanced, consistency between consignments matters more than any single headline figure. Each lot is released against the specification agreed for that customer, and the analysis for the dispatched lot is issued with the shipment.
Packing is selected for the destination and transit route, from bagged consignments through jumbo bags and container-bulk shipments.
